See What a Label or Rule Found

Where content classification is enabled on a deployment.

Purpose: open the documents behind any label or rule, and see why each one matched.

1. Open Records, then Labels. Read How much has been examined first: every count on the page is within the documents examined so far, not the whole estate.
2. Click a label's card, retired labels included. The list Documents labelled ... opens below.
3. Under Where they are, see the sites holding the most of them, with when they were counted.
4. Under The documents, see each file with its site, type, size, when it was classified, the rule and version that found it, and the matched terms. Choose Newest first or Oldest first and page through.
5. To see what one rule found, click its row in Rules behind the labels. The list shows the documents that version matched.
6. Click a document to open it and read the matched text in context. Press Close to close the list.

Good to know: counts are documents, not findings, so a document holding four card numbers is one document. A document found under a label's earlier name shows "found as" that name.
