See Forage Classification at a Glance

Where content classification is enabled on a deployment.

Purpose: see how far checking has got and what has been found, on one page.

1. Open Records, then Overview under Classification.
2. Read the banner at the top first. It shows how many files have been checked out of all the files that can be checked, the share done, and whether checking is running. A file can be checked once its text has been read. Checked means compared against the rules active now.
3. Read the six tiles: Files checked, Files waiting to be checked, Files labelled, Active labels, Active rules and Files that could not be checked. Click a tile to see more, then use the button at the bottom of the window to go to the page behind the figure.
4. Under Files by label, see how many files carry each label. Click a bar to open Labels, where each label opens its files.
5. Under Sites with the most labelled files, see where labelled files sit. Reports has every site.
6. Under Recently labelled files, see the files most recently given a label, or found to still hold one when checked again, with their labels. Click a file to open it: its details and the text Forage took from it. The words that matched are listed on Labels.
7. Under Rules: most recent changes, see who activated or retired a rule, or saved a new version, and when.

Good to know: the totals are figures prepared in the background every few minutes, and each says how old it is. Until the first count they read "figures being prepared", not zero. When a rule is activated or retired, every file goes back in the queue to be checked again, so files checked falls and files waiting rises, then checking catches up. A file with two labels counts once in Files labelled and under both labels in Files by label.
