Dashboard Overview
The Dashboard is the central command center within the https://www.smikar.com/squirrel/{Squirrel system, providing administrators with a comprehensive snapshot of the platform’s performance. It displays key metrics related to archived data, transaction volumes, and cost savings, all in real-time. Designed for ease of use, the Dashboard allows administrators to quickly assess the status of data archiving activities, monitor transaction trends, and track important savings, offering a clear view of how the system is functioning and where optimizations can be made.

Key Metrics Displayed on the Dashboard:
- Total Archived Data:Displays the total amount of data archived by the system, shown in terabytes (TB). This helps administrators monitor the overall volume of archived data.
- Archived Data - Today: Shows the amount of data that was archived on the current day. This figure is updated in real-time.
- Archived Data - This Month: Provides a summary of the data archived in the current month, giving admins insight into monthly archiving trends.
- Archived Data - This Year: Displays the cumulative total of data archived this year, which helps track long-term archiving performance.
- Total Archive Transactions: The total number of archive transactions that have occurred across all sites, helping admins understand how many files have been archived.
- Archive Transactions - Today: Shows the number of archive transactions that have taken place today, offering a real-time snapshot of system activity.
- Archive Transactions - This Month: Summarizes the number of archive transactions for the current month.
- Archive Transactions - This Year: Displays the total archive transactions for the current year.
- Total Restore Transactions: Tracks the total number of restore transactions, helping admins monitor how many files have been restored.
- Restore Transactions - Today: Shows the number of restore transactions for the current day.
- Restore Transactions - This Month: Provides an overview of restore transactions that occurred this month.
- Restore Transactions - This Year: The total number of restore transactions conducted throughout the year.
- Total Savings: Displays the total amount of money saved by using Squirrel for archiving, giving administrators insight into the cost-saving benefits of the system.
- Percent Archived:Shows the percentage of SharePoint storage that has been archived, providing admins with an understanding of how much of the available storage has been optimized.
- Latest News:This section displays the most recent updates regarding Squirrel, including software updates, new features, and announcements.
Dashboard Widgets:
Each metric is presented in a widget format, making it easy for administrators to glance at important statistics at any time. The data is typically refreshed daily or in real-time, depending on the specific metric.
