Log Viewer

Overview

The Log Viewer is a key feature in Squirrel, providing real-time access to logs for monitoring and troubleshooting. It offers a user-friendly interface for viewing, filtering, and exporting log data generated during archive and restore processes.

Key Features

  • Search Logs: Quickly find relevant logs using keywords.
  • Event Filtering: Filter logs by event type to focus on specific actions (e.g., login, restore checks, archive actions).
  • Date Picker: Select a specific date to view logs from that day.
  • Pagination: Easily navigate through pages of logs.
  • Export to CSV: Download the logs as a CSV file for external analysis or reporting.

Interface Walkthrough

  • Search Bar: Enter keywords to filter log entries by content.
  • Event Filter Dropdown: Choose from various event types (e.g., Login, RestoreCheck, ArchiveRequest).
  • Date Selector: Specify a date to narrow down the logs.
  • Export Button: Click Export to CSV to download the current log view.

Log Table:

  • Timestamp: The date and time of the log entry.
  • Event Type: The category of the logged event (e.g., [info], [error]).
  • Details: A detailed description of the action, including user information, file GUID, site GUID, and status.
  • Pagination Controls: Navigate between multiple pages of logs using the Previous and Next buttons.
  • Refresh Logs: Click Refresh Logs to load the latest entries.
