Archive/Restore by Path in Squirrel

Overview

The “Archive/Restore by Path” feature in Squirrel allows administrators to archive or restore files within a SharePoint site by specifying a folder path. This functionality provides more granular control over data management, enabling targeted actions within SharePoint sites.

Accessing the Archive/Restore by Path Feature

1 Log in to the Squirrel Dashboard.
2 Navigate to “Archive/Restore by Path” from the left-side menu.

Using the Archive/Restore by Path Feature

1 In the SharePoint Site field, start typing the site name.
2 Select the appropriate site from the list.
3 Enter the SharePoint Path in the provided field.
4 Click “Search Site Path” to retrieve file details.
5 The system will display: *Total Items* (total files in the path), *Archived Items* (already archived files), and *Non-Archived Items* (files available for archiving).
6 Click “Archive all items in path” to archive all files in the specified path.
7 Click “Restore all items in path” to restore all archived files in the specified path.
8 Click “Clear Search” to reset fields and start a new search.

Notes

  • Ensure the correct SharePoint Site and Path are entered to avoid incorrect archiving or restoration.
  • If no files appear after searching, verify that the path is correct and that files exist in that location.
