Chipmunk Troubleshooting Guide
This guide provides solutions to common issues administrators may encounter when using Chipmunk.
Archiving Issues
Archive job stuck "In Progress"
If an archive job appears stuck:
- Go to the Configuration page.
- Locate the Archive Monitor Settings.
- Increase the Stuck Threshold (maximum 270 minutes). For large archives, set this value to the maximum.
- Save the configuration.
- Restart the Chipmunk appliance.
All running jobs will automatically restart once the appliance is back online.
Search Issues
No results returned
- Try different search keywords.
- Use AI Search for broader coverage, as it searches content, not just file names.
Restore Issues
Restore job fails
- Confirm that the destination resource exists (e.g., SMB share or Microsoft 365 account).
- Verify that the Chipmunk appliance has access to the destination.
- If problems persist, try restoring to another user account or location.
