The Archived Files section in Squirrel provides administrators with a centralized view of all archived documents across connected SharePoint sites. From this interface, you can efficiently search, review, and restore files on demand.
This dashboard is designed for quick navigation, even across large datasets, enabling granular control over archived content.

- ๐ Filename Search Use the search bar at the top to quickly locate archived files by their name.
- ๐ Date Archived Shows when the file was archived, helping track retention periods or audit recent changes.
- ๐ File Path Displays the original file location in SharePoint, making it easy to verify the fileโs source before restoring.
- ๐ File Size Indicates the size of each file (in MB), useful when prioritizing large files for review or restore.
- ๐ Restore Action Each file has a Restore button, which immediately returns the file to its original SharePoint location.
At the bottom of the page, use the pagination controls to browse through archived records:
- โฎ๏ธ First โ Jump to the first page - โ๏ธ Previous โ Go to the previous set of files - โถ๏ธ Next โ Advance to the next page - โญ๏ธ Last โ Jump to the final page - ๐ข Page Number โ Displays your current position in the dataset (e.g., Page 3 of 12)
- Each row in the table includes a Restore button - Clicking this restores the file to its original SharePoint library - The restored file becomes immediately available to end users with the proper permissions
- Use Search by Filename or Search by File Path to narrow results quickly - For bulk review, use pagination to work through the archive in manageable segments - Restored files retain their original metadata and location structure - Files remain in the archive list after restoration (with updated status), allowing for full audit trails
